The South Central Railway (SCR) zone in Telangana has announced the cancellation of 139 train services and the diversion of 29 more as heavy rainfall and water-logging triggered by Cyclone Montha continue to disrupt operations. Key corridors including the Vijayawada–Warangal line were affected after major flooding at the Dornakal yard in Mahabubabad district, with the water level reportedly reaching platform height.
In response, SCR has arranged special bus services in coordination with state road transport agencies and urged passengers to check train status via official apps or helplines. Officials warned that further changes to the schedule may follow depending on evolving weather conditions and advised travellers to postpone non-essential journeys.
