A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding car on the Medak–Hyderabad road on Monday morning. The victim, identified as Sridhar, died on the spot after sustaining multiple bleeding injuries.
According to police, Sridhar, who worked at an IML depot in Chinna Ghanpur of Kulcharam mandal, was crossing the road on foot when a car being driven at high speed hit him. The impact was severe, leaving him dead instantly.
A native of Karimnagar, Sridhar had been residing at Gandi Maisamma. Police registered a case and shifted the body to the government hospital in Medak for postmortem.
Police said reckless driving was the cause of the accident and added that efforts are underway to trace the car driver involved. Further investigation is in progress.
