The Hyderabad Police have announced a new initiative to strengthen cyber safety and enhance child rescue operations across the city. With the growing number of online crimes, especially those targeting children and vulnerable individuals, the police are ramping up digital surveillance and awareness programs. Special cybercrime units are being equipped with advanced tools to track online predators, financial frauds, and other forms of digital exploitation. The department also plans to collaborate with schools, NGOs, and tech experts to educate parents and students about online safety, responsible internet use, and reporting mechanisms.
In addition to cyber safety, the Hyderabad Police are intensifying efforts to rescue missing and trafficked children under specialized programs like Operation Smile and Operation Muskaan. Dedicated teams will be deployed to trace missing children using advanced technology, facial recognition systems, and inter-state coordination. Officials stated that the goal is to create a safer environment both online and offline, ensuring children are protected from digital and physical threats. The initiative reflects the city police’s continued commitment to public safety, child welfare, and the responsible use of technology.
