A tragic incident occurred in Siddipet, Telangana, where a 22-year-old IIT graduate named Vivek Kiran Reddy was electrocuted while attempting to remove a flexi banner near his residence in the Thornala area. The banner had either come into contact with or was dangerously close to overhead power lines. While trying to remove it, Vivek accidentally touched it and suffered a fatal electric shock, dying on the spot. He had recently completed his engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and had returned home to stay with his parents, Yadava Reddy and Anjali. The local police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. His body was shifted to the Siddipet Government Hospital for a postmortem examination. The incident has sparked concerns over the safety of flexi banners placed near electrical infrastructure.
