A tragic incident was reported from Suraram in Hyderabad, where a 24-year-old man allegedly died by suicide due to financial stress linked to online gaming losses. The deceased has been identified as Ravinder, a local resident.
According to police, Ravinder had been actively involved in online gaming platforms and reportedly incurred significant financial losses over a period of time. Unable to cope with mounting stress and debt, he is believed to have slipped into depression. Investigators said he recorded a selfie video before taking the extreme step, in which he expressed a loss of interest in life and clearly stated that no individual should be held responsible for his decision.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the residence and found Ravinder unresponsive. The body was shifted to a government hospital for postmortem examination. A case has been registered under relevant sections, and further investigation is underway to verify the circumstances leading to the incident.
Police officials have once again cautioned the public, especially youth, about the risks associated with excessive online gaming and financial gambling, urging individuals facing stress or emotional distress to seek timely help and counseling.
