36 Tonnes Seized in Hyderabad Ghee Adulteration Crackdown

Hyderabad: A major enforcement drive against ghee adulteration across Hyderabad has led to the seizure of around 36 tonnes of material, including 25.5 tonnes of adulterated ghee and 10.5 tonnes of raw materials. The crackdown was carried out by the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) of the Commissioner’s Task Force. Officials conducted inspections at units involved in the manufacture and sale of ghee as part of a special enforcement operation. Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar is expected to provide details of the inspections, the adulteration detected and further legal action at a media briefing later on Tuesday.
